Prize or balance
Real Money Casinos Like Chumba: What Changes When a Prize Becomes a Balance
Chumba pays prizes rather than balances: Sweeps Coins won through play redeem at US$1 each once you hold 100 SC, under Sweeps Rules 26.0 of 13 July 2026. A real-money casino keeps your deposit as a balance you stake and withdraw, and the two we put our own money through in 2026 are Vave, our advertiser, and TrustDice.
Sites like Chumba for real money: two different models
People who look for sites like Chumba for real money usually want one of two things. Some want Chumba's model with a faster or bigger payout. Others want to put money in and take money out, with no coins in between. Those are different products, and Chumba's own documents show where the line sits.
At Chumba you buy Gold Coins, which have “no monetary value” under the Terms and Conditions 27.0 of 13 July 2026. Sweeps Coins arrive free: on sign-up, as a bonus on marked Gold Coin packs, through a daily bonus or through an online entry request. The same terms say in capitals, “YOU CANNOT PURCHASE SWEEPS COINS”. Only Sweeps Coins won through play turn into money, at US$1 each (Sweeps Rules 26.0 cl. 4.4).
A real-money casino works the other way round. Your deposit becomes a balance, you stake that balance, and what is left can be withdrawn. One currency does the whole job.
In 2026 we put our own money through two real-money crypto casinos: Vave and TrustDice. Every Chumba figure below comes from Chumba's documents; we have played or redeemed at no sweepstakes site, Chumba included.
How a Chumba redemption runs, clause by clause
Chumba's path from coin to cash has seven gates. Each one is a numbered clause in documents dated 13 July 2026, or a line on Chumba's help pages.
| Gate | Chumba rule | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Verify your account | Required before any redemption: selfie, photo ID and proof of address from the last 6 months | Verification page (WB 7 March 2026); T&C 27.0 cl. 9.2 |
| Play the coins | 1× playthrough; Chumba may ask for more, up to 20× | SR 26.0 cl. 4.6 |
| Reach the minimum | 100 eligible SC, worth US$100 | SR 26.0 cl. 6.5 |
| One request a day | One redemption per account per 24 hours | T&C 27.0 cl. 8.15 |
| Choose a method | Bank account, Skrill, or a gift card through Prizeout | Redemption options page (WB 7 February 2026) |
| Wait for the bank | Up to 10 business days | T&C 27.0 cl. 8.16 |
| Large amounts | Over US$10,000 may be split, with up to 7 extra days; a US$10,000 daily cap is reserved | T&C 27.0 cl. 8.18 and 8.4 |
WB marks a Wayback Machine capture of Chumba's page, used because the live page was blocked from our location.
Two more rules sit behind the table. Redemptions over US$2,000, single or cumulative, trigger checks on identity, address and source of funds or wealth (cl. 9.3), and documents are due within 30 days of the first request (cl. 9.4). Cash goes to the account or wallet you bought Gold Coins with, and gift cards go to your account email (SR 26.0 cl. 6.3 and 6.4).
The full walk-through, with every clock, is on the Chumba redemption page. The short answer on whether the prizes are real money is on does Chumba Casino pay real money.
Sweepstakes sites that pay in crypto are still sweepstakes
A crypto payout can make a sweepstakes site look like a casino. The rules decide which it is.
Stake.us is the usual example. Its Terms and Conditions 18.0 (10 July 2026) name Sweepsteaks Limited of Cyprus as the provider, define Stake Cash as sweepstakes entries and redeem it at 1 Stake Cash per 1 USD, as cryptocurrency or FIAT (cl. 13.2(b), 13.4(c)). You redeem in the same coin you used to buy Gold Coins (cl. 13.4(d)), and Stake Cash must be played three times first (cl. 13.1(c)). Stake.com is a different business.
PlayFame's help centre, updated 9 September 2026, says crypto redemptions “typically process on blockchain within a few hours”. The product underneath is still Gold Coins plus Sweepstakes Coins.
Chumba's own family works the same way. Global Poker runs Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins under Sweeps Rules 25.0, with a 50 SC minimum, and the sister sites page maps the rest of VGW.
Vave: our advertiser, a licensed crypto casino
Vave is our advertiser and the only paid placement on this site. It is a real-money crypto casino, and it runs no sweepstakes: you deposit crypto, play with that balance and withdraw it.
| Field | Vave | Source and date |
|---|---|---|
| Licence | Curaçao Gaming Authority, OGL/2024/1676/0905 | CGA register: status Active, issued 19 May 2025 |
| Licence holder | Latcas B.V. | CGA register |
| Cashier coins | BTC, ETH, USDT, LTC, DOGE, TON | Vave cashier, as recorded in our catalog |
| First-deposit offer | 150% up to 1.5 BTC plus 100 free spins | Promotions page, read 24 August 2026 |
| Next offers, in the order printed | 100% up to 1 BTC; 50% up to 1 BTC; 25% up to 0.5 BTC | Promotions page, read 24 August 2026 |
| Wagering multiple | Absent from the promotions page | Promotions page, read 24 August 2026 |
| Our money test | Deposit, play and withdrawal on 28 August 2026; no ID requested up to 5,000 USDT | Our test |
The bonus rows need one warning. The promotions page gives the match and the cap but prints no wagering multiple, so the bonus terms behind each offer are where you find out how much play a bonus requires before a withdrawal. Settle that before you accept an offer.
In our test on 28 August 2026 we deposited, played and withdrew, and Vave asked for no identity documents on withdrawals up to 5,000 USDT. That is one test at one moment, and Vave's terms carry their own verification rules. Read those terms before you deposit, including who Vave accepts as a player; that choice is Vave's.
TrustDice: our May 2026 money test
TrustDice is the second real-money crypto casino we ran a money test on. It is a comparison point here and pays us nothing.
| Field | TrustDice | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Curaçao licence | OGL/2024/664/0280, Satoshi Gaming Group N.V., status Active, issued 16 July 2024 | Curaçao Gaming Authority register |
| Anjouan licence | ALSI-202605020-FI1, Satoshi Labs Ltd, valid from 15 May 2026 to 14 May 2027, for trustdice.win | Anjouan Gaming Board register |
| Older licence line | 8048/JAZ, printed on TrustDice's pages: an old Curaçao sub-licence format that authority registers leave out | Operator pages |
| Withdrawal speed in our test | 10 to 15 minutes per crypto withdrawal | Our test, May 2026 |
| Identity checks in our test | None until about 5,000 USDT withdrawn, then verification | Our test, May 2026 |
Two registers name two companies for one brand: Satoshi Gaming Group N.V. in Curaçao and Satoshi Labs Ltd in Anjouan. Check which company the terms name before you deposit, since that is the company you deal with.
The withdrawal times came from our own account in May 2026. The verification request arrived once withdrawals reached about 5,000 USDT, which is a data point from one account rather than a published threshold.

Licence type
Chumba's licence line is printed by VGW and covers what it calls Promotional Play Games; the Malta register did not confirm it for us. Vave's and TrustDice's numbers come from the registers themselves. A few states license real-money online casinos of their own, and our Chumba Casino states page covers where that happens and how it sits beside sweepstakes play.
Deposits
Chumba sells coins rather than stakes. Its help page (WB 28 January 2026) lists Mastercard, Visa, American Express, online banking, Paysafecard and Skrill, with more “depending on the region”. At a crypto casino the deposit is the stake, and the coin you send sets the currency of your balance.
Withdrawals
Chumba's clock is a written maximum: up to 10 business days for the bank leg and one request per 24 hours. Our crypto withdrawals at TrustDice took 10 to 15 minutes each; blockchain fees and confirmation times depend on the coin you pick. A crypto casino has no redemption minimum in the sweepstakes sense, because your whole balance is already money.
Identity checks
Chumba verifies before the first redemption, with a selfie, photo ID and proof of address, and adds source-of-funds checks above US$2,000. In our two tests the crypto casinos asked later, or within the amounts we moved asked nothing. The full Chumba checklist is on the verification page.
Bonuses on each side: free coins against a deposit match
Chumba's welcome offer, as its help page read (WB 28 January 2026), was 2,000,000 Gold Coins plus 2 free Sweeps Coins, with a Daily Login Bonus on top. Those 2 SC follow the same rule as any other Sweeps Coin: they must be played through once before they count toward the 100 SC minimum (SR 26.0 cl. 4.6). The Gold Coins are play money from the start.
A crypto casino bonus works on your deposit. Vave's first offer matches 150% of the first deposit up to 1.5 BTC and adds 100 free spins (promotions page, read 24 August 2026). The match joins your balance under the bonus terms, and the wagering those terms set decides when bonus money can leave. Chumba's free coins cost nothing and pay only through a redemption; a deposit match costs a deposit and pays through a withdrawal.
Five checks before you move money to a crypto casino
- Match the licence holder to the terms. Vave's register entry names Latcas B.V.; TrustDice's two registers name two different companies.
- Check the coin list. Vave's cashier lists BTC, ETH, USDT, LTC, DOGE and TON; send only a coin the cashier shows.
- Read the bonus wagering before accepting. Vave's promotions page printed the match and the cap, so the multiple sits in the bonus terms.
- Start with a small withdrawal. A first small withdrawal shows the real timing for your coin and your account.
- Know where verification may start. In our tests TrustDice asked at about 5,000 USDT and Vave asked for nothing up to that amount; your account may be treated differently.
Which model fits which reader
When readers ask for sites like Chumba for real money, the answer depends on which part of Chumba they want to keep. If you like Chumba's coins, free entry and prize redemption, stay with that model and compare the brands that run it; our list of casinos like Chumba Casino does that brand by brand. If you want a balance you deposit and withdraw in crypto, Vave and TrustDice are the two we have put our own money through, and the figures above are what we saw.
Real money carries real risk. Set a deposit limit before you start, and if gambling stops being fun, the National Council on Problem Gambling answers at 1-800-GAMBLER. How we checked each figure on this page is on our comparison method page.
