Chumba's postal free entry is gone: what Sweeps Rules 26.0 asks for instead
Chumba's Sweeps Rules 21.0 of 30 December 2025 still printed a postal address for free Sweeps Coins, at 5 SC a request. Version 26.0 of 13 July 2026 dropped the post and moved free entry into the app, still at 5 SC per valid request.
The Chumba mail-in route in Sweeps Rules 21.0
The Chumba mail-in route was still in print at the end of 2025. Sweeps Rules 21.0, dated 30 December 2025, gave a postal address for free Sweeps Coins:

The player generated a Postal Request Code under clause 3.4, wrote the request by hand and posted it. Each valid request was worth 5 Sweeps Coins, the same amount the rules pay today.
Older versions describe the envelope in detail. Sweeps Rules 9.1 of 11 March 2024, which we read on 8 September 2026, asked for a handwritten 4×6-inch card, blank, unlined and unfolded, in a stamped #10 envelope, one card per envelope. The card carried a 12-digit single-use code that expired 30 days after it was displayed. Between versions 9.0 and 9.1, that code's life had been cut from 90 days to 30.
What Sweeps Rules 26.0 prints instead
Sweeps Rules 26.0 of 13 July 2026, read on 8 September 2026, lists four free routes to Sweeps Coins in clause 3.2:
- Sweeps Coins as a bonus on specifically marked Gold Coin packs, with the amount shown in the purchase window.
- Giveaways at no cost on the Chumba Casino Facebook page.
- The Daily Bonus, claimed once a day, with the clock resetting every 24 hours. The rules leave its amount to the screen.
- The online entry request.
The fourth route sits where the post used to be. Version 26.0 prints no PO box, stamp or postal code anywhere, and clause 3.2(d)(vi) keeps the reward at 5 Sweeps Coins per valid request. The reward stayed the same; the channel moved from an envelope to a phone camera.
The change is recent. The postal route is present in version 21.0 of 30 December 2025 and absent from version 26.0 of 13 July 2026, so it was removed during 2026. Which version in between first dropped it is still open, because we have read the two ends of that stretch and the versions between them remain unread. The online entry request, step by step
Clause 3.2(d) of Sweeps Rules 26.0 sets out the request. In order:
- Sign in to your Chumba account and open the entry request. A unique Entry Request Template is revealed on screen.
- Copy the template by hand, in black or blue pen, onto a blank, unlined, unfolded 4×6-inch index card or a sheet of white paper.
- Photograph the card with your device camera inside the on-screen frame.
- Complete the human check and, if prompted, a selfie check.
- Wait for validation. Illegible handwriting voids the request at the operator's discretion.
- Each valid request credits 5 Sweeps Coins.
These steps summarise the rules' own wording. We have not submitted an entry request ourselves, and the rules give no figure for how long validation takes.
What the free coins still have to do
A Sweeps Coin from an entry request follows the same rules as any other. Sweeps Rules 26.0, clause 4.6, requires it to be played once before it can be redeemed, and allows the operator to require more, up to 20 times. Clause 6.5 sets the redemption floor at 100 eligible Sweeps Coins, and clause 4.4 values each Sweeps Coin won in play at US$1.
Terms and Conditions 27.0, clause 8.22, lets Sweeps Coins expire 60 days after the last log-on. Chumba's verification help page, in an archived copy of 7 March 2026, says the account must be verified before any prize can be redeemed. Which alternatives still print a postal route
Several sweepstakes brands still accept a handwritten request by post. The table uses the newest copy of each operator's rules we had read by 8 September 2026.

Three details from the same documents matter as much as the coin count. Fortune Wins verifies identity before it credits a mail request (Sweeps Rules 4.7, clause 3.2.4.11). RealPrize allows up to 20 days to credit a written request (Promotional Play Rules 2.8). Crown Coins' figures are July 2024 text, the newest copy available, so a later version may read differently.
One VGW brand already works like Chumba today. LuckyLand Slots' Sweeps Rules 31.0 of 13 July 2026, read from an archived copy of 7 September 2026, pay 5 Sweeps Coins per valid online request and print no postal address. That brand was reported closing by CasinoBeats on 28 July 2026.
Post against phone: what changed for a player
The switch changes the proof, and the reward stays put. Under the postal route, the proof was a code on a card that travelled by mail. Under the online route, the proof is a photograph of a handwritten template plus a human check, with a selfie check when prompted. A stamp, an envelope and mail time drop out; a working camera and a signed-in account come in.
For readers comparing brands, the useful pair is coins per request against the redemption floor. Chumba's 5 Sweeps Coins per request against a 100-coin floor means 20 valid requests before free entry alone reaches a first redemption. Where a dollar rate is printed, the brands in the table pay between US$1 and US$5 of prize value per request, on floors that differ from brand to brand.
