LuckyLand Slots Is Closing: Sweeps Sites That Run Like It and Chumba

LuckyLand Slots is reported to end access and redemptions on 14 September 2026, while Chumba, Global Poker and LuckyLand Casino carry on. Both slots brands ran VGW's rulebook, with US$1 per Sweeps Coin, 1× playthrough and 5 SC per online entry request; LuckyLand's minimum was 50 SC against Chumba's 100.

LuckyLand Slots: what was reported and what we saw

Anyone comparing casinos like Chumba and LuckyLand in September 2026 is dealing with a closure. LuckyLand Slots, Chumba's sister brand under VGW, is winding down, and the dates come from trade press rather than from a VGW text we could open.

We found no closure post on VGW's newsroom, and the site now answers with a redirect instead of a notice. A redirect alone says nothing about why it fires, so the reported timetable above is the best dated account available. Chumba Casino, Global Poker and LuckyLand Casino are reported to continue, and vgw.co still lists all three.

Our blog note LuckyLand gone, Chumba stays keeps the short version of this timeline.

What LuckyLand Slots and Chumba shared

The two brands ran the same VGW template. Sweeps Rules 31.0 for LuckyLand Slots and Sweeps Rules 26.0 for Chumba carry the same date, 13 July 2026, and mostly the same clause numbers.

The number that differed most was the minimum: LuckyLand Slots redeemed from 50 SC, Chumba from 100. Free entry looked the same on both, with a handwritten card photographed in the app and no postal route in either rulebook of 13 July 2026. For Chumba that change is recent. Its Sweeps Rules 21.0 of 30 December 2025 still printed a PO Box, and version 26.0 has the online request in its place; the story is on the mail-in route note.

LuckyLand Casino is a separate VGW brand

The names cause confusion. LuckyLand Casino is a different VGW brand from LuckyLand Slots, and it is reported to continue after the Slots closure. VGW's newsroom sitemap dates a LuckyLand Casino launch post 12 December 2025; the article page returned VGW's homepage to us, so the title and the date are what we could read.

LuckyLand Casino's own rules are still on our reading list, so whether it uses the 50 SC minimum or Chumba's 100 stays open. What the documents do show is that Chumba, Global Poker and LuckyLand Slots all run the same template, and that Chumba's footer lists VGW Luckyland Inc among its payment agents. The whole family is on the Chumba casino sister sites page.

Casinos like Chumba and LuckyLand: which rulebooks match

The table sets both VGW brands against the alternatives whose current rules we could read. Each row gives the rule document and its date; the figures are as printed.

WOW Vegas and Rolla come closest outside VGW. Their rules use the same US$1 value, LuckyLand's 50 SC cash minimum, the same 1× to 20× playthrough and a US$10,000 daily cap held in reserve. Their free entry is a mailed card worth 3 SC, where VGW takes a photographed card worth 5 SC. For a Chumba player used to 100 SC, Dara Casino and High 5 match the cash minimum instead.

Legendz is a footnote. Its 2024 terms (WB 16 April 2024) used VGW's clause numbers almost line for line: an SC100 threshold at cl. 8.2, one request per 24 hours at cl. 8.15 and up to 10 business days at cl. 8.16. Its current rules were blocked from our location, so it stays out of the table until they can be read.

Where the alternatives differ from the VGW pattern

Three differences show up most in the documents.

Free entry by post. VGW's online entry request asks you to handwrite a template and photograph it in the app. WOW Vegas, Rolla, Dara Casino, High 5 and Jackpota take a mailed card instead, each worth 3 SC; RealPrize's is worth 1 Sweep Coin and may take up to 20 days to credit. Jackpota's help centre warns that crediting mailed envelopes can take up to 3 months (updated 27 August 2026).

Stated payout times. VGW prints a maximum: up to 10 business days for the bank leg. Some alternatives print times per method in their help centres.

Dara CasinoUp to 10 business days, depending on methodSweepstake Rules 6.4, effective 14 July 2026

Gift card minimums. LuckyLand used one 50 SC threshold for cash and gift cards. WOW Vegas lets gift cards go from 20 SC (help, updated 13 May 2026), Jackpota from 10 SC and High 5 from 50 SC.

The games differ too. The catalogs are set side by side on games like Chumba Casino.

Before a closure date: what to do with a remaining balance

These steps come from LuckyLand Slots' own rules (Sweeps Rules 31.0, 13 July 2026; Terms of Service 25.0, 24 November 2025). They describe how a redemption works there; VGW's closure notice to players is a separate text we have yet to read. With the reported end date on 14 September 2026, three days after this page's date, the order matters.

  1. Count what is redeemable. Only Sweeps Coins won through play and played through once can be redeemed (cl. 4.4, 4.6). Gold Coins cannot be redeemed for prizes (cl. 3.2(a)), so a Gold Coin balance holds no cash value.
  2. Check the minimum. A request needs at least 50 eligible SC, for cash or a gift card (cl. 6.5).
  3. Finish verification first. Requests stay pending until checks are complete (ToS cl. 9.2), and redemptions of US$2,000 or more call for ID, proof of address and possibly more (cl. 9.3).
  4. Plan around one request a day. The operator processes one redemption per account every 24 hours (ToS cl. 8.15).
  5. Know where the money goes. Cash goes to the account or wallet you bought Gold Coins with, or else to a nominated bank account; gift cards go to your account email (SR cl. 6.3, 6.4).
  6. Allow for the bank leg. A bank payment can take up to 10 business days (ToS cl. 8.16), which is longer than the time left before the reported end date.
  7. Keep records. Save the confirmation of each request and a screenshot of your balance while the account still opens.

Two questions stay open in what we could read: the rules for a balance below 50 SC at closure, and for a request still pending on the end date. Those answers belong in VGW's notice to LuckyLand players. If you hold a balance, ask VGW support in writing and keep the reply.

Other rulebooks show what a written window looks like. RealPrize's GTC 2.4 (15 September 2025) cl. 13.6 lets Redeemable Sweep Coins be redeemed within 21 days after an account is terminated. At Chumba, closing your own account forfeits Gold Coins, Sweeps Coins and unredeemed prizes (T&C 27.0 cl. 5.13), and Sweeps Coins expire 60 days after your last log-on (cl. 8.22); the details are on closing your Chumba account.

The same checks apply if you move to Chumba. The verification page lists the documents, and the redemption page covers each clock.

Choosing between Chumba, LuckyLand Casino and the rest

For a LuckyLand Slots player, the closest match on paper is another VGW brand: Chumba with its 100 SC minimum, or Global Poker with LuckyLand's 50 SC. LuckyLand Casino carries the name forward, with its rules still to be read. Outside VGW, WOW Vegas and Rolla match the most numbers, and Dara Casino and High 5 match Chumba's cash minimum.

Among casinos like Chumba and LuckyLand, the right pick depends on what you valued. If LuckyLand's 50 SC minimum mattered, Global Poker, WOW Vegas and Rolla keep it. If gift cards were your route, Jackpota starts them at 10 SC and WOW Vegas at 20 SC. If you want the rulebook you already know, Chumba prints the same clauses under the same numbers, with 100 SC as the one bigger figure.

Each brand sets where it is open in its own terms, and our states page gathers those lists. The full comparison, brand by brand, is on our list of Chumba alternatives.

Is LuckyLand Slots closed?
Trade press reported on 28 July 2026, quoting VGW, that Gold Coin purchases ended on 3 August, play on 24 August, and access and redemptions end on 14 September 2026. On 11 September 2026 luckylandslots.com redirected us to a not-available page.
Is LuckyLand Casino the same as LuckyLand Slots?
They are separate VGW brands, and both are listed on vgw.co. VGW's newsroom dates its LuckyLand Casino launch post 12 December 2025, and LuckyLand Casino is reported to continue after the Slots closure.
Can I move my LuckyLand balance to Chumba?
The documents we read describe no transfer between VGW brands; each has its own account and balance. Redeem eligible Sweeps Coins at LuckyLand Slots before its reported end date.
What is the minimum to redeem at LuckyLand Slots?
50 Sweeps Coins, worth US$50, for cash and gift cards alike (Sweeps Rules 31.0 cl. 6.5, 13 July 2026). Only coins won through play and played through once count toward it.
Which sites are most like Chumba and LuckyLand?
Global Poker runs the same VGW clauses. Outside VGW, WOW Vegas and Rolla match the US$1 value, the 50 SC cash minimum and the 1× to 20× playthrough in their 2026 rules.
